Androscoggin Bank Proudly Supports First Art Walk Lewiston Auburn

LEWISTON, Maine - May 19, 2011 - Androscoggin Bank today announced the bank's participation in the inaugural Art Walk Lewiston Auburn, which will officially kick-off with a public reception on Friday, May 27 and will continue from May to September. The Art Walk, which will transform the downtown areas of Lewiston and Auburn into arts districts for one evening each month, is an independent grassroots endeavor by community members, artists, and local businesses who want to celebrate the extraordinary talent of visual artists in Lewiston, Auburn and around Maine. Androscoggin Bank's Lewiston branch at 30 Lisbon Street will host an art show in its lobby, transforming the bank location into a makeshift gallery for the community. The first show, "Fantastic Worlds," which spotlights local artists Roderick Dew and Kevin Callahan, will be on display from May 26 to June 21, 2011.

The Art Walk Lewiston Auburn reception will take place from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm; participants will explore the downtown areas through self-guided tours of local arts venues, eateries and unused window spaces that will be converted into art exhibits for the evening.
