The Lesley K. Martin Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Program
The purpose of the Lesley K. Martin Memorial Scholarship is to recognize a Lewiston High School student who has shown leadership in extracurricular activities, community involvement (preferably with young people) and has an interest in continuing his/her education.
Scholarship Awards
Androscoggin Bank will award a $1,000 scholarship paid directly to the college, university or technical school of choice. The award will be allocated to provide for a 50% payment applied toward the first semester and 50% applied toward the second semester of the recipient's first years.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a graduating senior from Lewiston High School.
- Applicant must be accepted as an incoming freshman to an accredited two or four-year college, university or technical school.
- Studies must begin within one year of award.
- Androscoggin Bank employees and members of their immediate family are not eligible to participate.
Requirements
- Applicant must submit a copy of high school transcript.
- Completed Scholarship Application (click to download).
- Up to one letter of recommendation will be considered.

Selection
Applications will be reviewed and the Scholarship Committee will choose the award recipient.
The completed application, along with supporting documentation, must be returned to Androscoggin Bank by April 29, 2011 or mailed to the Bank at P.O. Box 1407, Lewiston, ME 04242, Attn.: Scholarship Committee and received no later than April 29, 2011. Androscoggin Bank will not be responsible for lost mail or delays in delivery of mail.
The final selection will be announced at the Lewiston High School 2011 Night of Excellence ceremony. The scholarship recipient will receive notification regarding administrative details by mail after that date.
