2011 Grant Recipients

Safe Voices $2,500.00 – Impact Grant Awarded February, 2011
Funds will be used to educate youth with a teen dating violence awareness and prevention program.

A Company of Girls $5,000.00 – Impact Grant Awarded February, 2011
Funding for project: The Conference of the Birds

Youth Alternatives $2,500.00 – Impact Grant Awarded February, 2011
Funds will be used for food, childcare, equipment maintenance and outdoor activities as part of the Whole Health Start Program serving homeless youth.

Susan L. Curtis Foundation $2,500.00 – Impact Grant Awarded February, 2011
Funds will be used to implement literacy and arts program enhancements, and to serve 15-20 disadvantaged children from Lewiston and Androscoggin County.

Trust for Our Future $1,000.00 – Seed Grant Awarded May, 2011
Funds will be used for the Challenge Day program.  Mission is “to provide youth and their communities with experiential programs that demonstrate the possibility of love and connection through the celebration of diversity, truth, and full expression”.

Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine $4,830.00 – Impact Grant Awarded May, 2011
Support for Youth Voices on Stage - A theatre based bullying prevention program.

The Summer Camp $5,000.00 – Impact Grant Awarded May, 2011
