Application for Grant Money
Androscoggin Bank is constantly looking to expand our relationships in ways that benefit the community, but we also know that it is important to reach out at different times to solicit projects that are worthy of support. We meet twice a year to review proposals for funding though our Greater Giving program.
All applications must be postmarked by June 30 for cycle one and December 31 for cycle two. We award up to $10,000 per cycle and a typical grant award is $2,500. We encourage you to apply for a specific portion of the funds and make a compelling case for how the award would be applied to your project.
To apply for the a grant:
Step 1 Download the grant application file - Grant Application (DOC) | Grant Application (PDF)*;
Step 2 Complete the application - you can fill out by hand or type inside the PDF (if you have the proper software);
Step 3 Include a copy of your organization's 501(c)3 status;
Step 4 Mail the completed grant application and 501(c)3 status to:

Guidelines and Review
Proposals should accurately reflect the positive impact your project will have for the community in the following areas:
- Economic Development
- Arts and Culture
The Greater Giving Committee meets shortly after the deadline and awards grants for projects that show the most promise in the targeted areas. Applications postmarked later than the June 30 or December 31 deadlines will be considered in the following grant cycle. Please follow the guidelines in the grant application carefully. Applications that do not comply with the guidelines or that do not specifically address our areas of focus will not be considered for funding.
Before or after grant approval, the Greater Giving Committee may request additional information from an organization on its financial status, organization or operations.
