It has come to our attention that Androscoggin Bank is being targeted on Facebook by a page called “Overdraft Fee Lawyer”, a group in California. They are posting advertisements in which they falsely claim banks are included in an Overdraft Fee lawsuit investigation. Please be aware this is a SCAM. If you see these posts:

•  Do NOT fill out forms
•  Do NOT provide any personal or banking information

Overdraft protection is an optional service that most consumers find valuable in order to avoid a payment being declined. Customers who want overdraft protection must opt in, and customers who wish to opt out can do so at any time without cost or consequence.
